I have a great love for my sisters. My goal is that this portfolio exhibits this love and you know more about me through my love of art.
The image attached is a collage of photos through the years of being a sister. Made in Adobe Photoshop.
This is a vector portrait of the first day I got to see my youngest sister. I recreated this image in Adobe illustrator. The image in the back is meant to foreshadow how my sister will follow in my footsteps. It is a picture of one of her pieces at her current age. This image was transformed and dropped onto the image in photoshop.
This is a collage of my youngest sister and I. I created this image in adobe photoshop. You can tell that two different photos are used in this piece but one has a lower resolution. That is the picture of me when I was her age to show the advance in technology during our lifetimes.
This is an adobe illustrator drawing of my oldest sister and I on railroad tracks in Washington state. I completed this on an apple iPad using an apple pen. With that I dipped into the world of brushes and strokes to recreate this photo.
This is a progress piece that I edited on an iPad in photoshop. I took notes of things I did not like and ways I could improve the piece. I hand drew with the pen tool on a desk top each little shape in illustrator and my main concern was I wanted them to be smaller to have a more detailed final piece.
This is a vector portrait of the first day I got to see my oldest sister. I recreated this image in adobe illustrator. The image is made up of small child-like shapes but form together to create a sophisticated image. This demonstrates the maturity humans develop as they age.
This is a collage done by hand. I took portraits of each sister and cut them up to become one face. From that I replicated it through colored pencils and paint. The meaning of having pieces on a map is to convey to the audience that no matter where we are in the world we will always come together as one big family.
This is a text image. I created this image in adobe photoshop. This piece of art allowed me to get more familiar with text in photoshop as well as creating a balanced black and white image with a complementing color on top for overlay.
This was my first ever vector image created in adobe illustrator. This is the piece that sparked my love for graphic design. I chose this image to create a snapshot of a time my sister and I sat in front of the most beautiful sunset ever. In this moment everything felt still and quiet.
This is a painting of Miss Rev done with acrylic paint. I included Miss Rev in this portfolio because ever since moving to college station my sisters and I bond over our liking of the Texas A&M mascot.
